Thank you for using URL Sidebar Manager — a Chrome extension designed to help users manage and access their favorite URLs quickly and efficiently through a persistent sidebar interface.

We value your privacy. This extension is built with a strong commitment to data protection and transparency.
This policy explains what information is (and isn’t) collected, how it’s stored, and your rights as a user.

1. Information We Do Not Collect

URL Sidebar Manager does not collect, transmit, or share any personal or sensitive user data. Specifically, we do not collect:

Personal information (such as name, email address, or contact details)
Browsing history or website content
User activity such as clicks, keystrokes, or form inputs
Location or IP address
Financial, health, or authentication information
Any information identifying you or your device

The extension runs entirely within your browser and operates locally on your device.

2. Data Storage & Permissions

The extension uses Chrome’s built-in APIs only for functionality, not tracking.

Storage Permission (`storage`)

Used solely to:

Save and sync your list of saved URLs
Store your sidebar layout preferences and settings

All data is stored securely in your own Chrome profile via Chrome Sync.
No data is transmitted to any external servers controlled by the developer.

Tabs Permission (`tabs`)

Used only to:

Capture the active tab’s URL when you explicitly add it to your saved list
Open saved URLs in new browser tabs when clicked

The extension never monitors, records, or reads your browsing activity.

Host Permission (`<all_urls>`)

Required to display the sidebar on all web pages.
No page content is read, modified, or transmitted. The sidebar is purely a UI overlay.

We do not sell, rent, or share any user data with third parties.
There are no analytics, advertising, or tracking components included in this extension.

4. Security

All operations occur locally in your browser using Chrome’s secure APIs.
The developer has no access to your stored data or Chrome Sync content.

5. Remote Code Policy

This extension does not use any form of remote code execution.
All JavaScript, CSS, and HTML files are bundled within the extension package and reviewed during Chrome Web Store submission.
No code is loaded from remote URLs or third-party servers.

6. Policy Updates

If this Privacy Policy changes, the updated version will be published in the extension’s source repository and/or linked page on the Chrome Web Store.
You can always review the latest version before updating the extension.
